Join GAYA CAC as we begin the creation of an artistic oasis, attracting ceramicists from all over the globe for periods of focused, intense growth and creativity. For two-month stints, we invite carefully-selected artists to bring and exchange creative energy, inspiration, ideas, contacts, concepts, techniques, and general enthusiasm for clay with our burgeoning community of artists, designers, students and patrons.

Candidates: open to all serious artists working in clay, interested in focus and exchange, exploration and exposure

duration: 60 days (one extended tourist visa length)

exchange:

For resident:

6 weeks (semi-private) studio space,

clay, glazes, equipment, kilns, resources,

limited support from Gaya studio personnel,

culminating display of art work with possible opportunity to sell

From resident:

enthusiasm and professional comportment,

project proposal to be completed in six weeks,

two-week workshop proposal, to be taught the final two weeks of the residency

one piece of finished work for Gaya to retain for their collection
